About the Role

The Backend Developer is responsible for designing and delivering robust, cloud-native software with a strong focus on test automation, scalability, and long-term quality. This role deploys small, frequent changes supported by a strong deployment pipeline and comprehensive test coverage. The Backend Developer values continuous improvement and actively contributes to team growth by sharing knowledge and learning from others, as part of a fully remote, diverse team building an LLM-powered web application that transforms unstructured documents into structured data.


Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do

  • Design and develop cloud-native C# microservices with long-term quality, scalability, and reliability in mind
  • Write automated tests as a core part of development, ensuring strong test coverage across the codebase
  • Ship small, safe changes frequently through solid CI/CD pipelines, supporting continuous delivery practices
  • Review code and contribute to shared engineering standards and best practices across the team
  • Refactor and improve existing solutions to maintain and elevate overall code quality
  • Share knowledge and actively learn from fellow engineers, contributing to a culture of continuous team growth
  • 3–5 years of relevant backend development experience
  • Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment (B2+)

Role Essentials — Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience building backend services in C#
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and cloud-native architecture and microservices concepts
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
  • Strong testing mindset with demonstrated experience writing unit and automated tests
  • Familiarity with software design, data structures, and algorithms

C#, Azure/AWS, CI/CD, Test Automation, GitHub Copilot


What We'd Like to See — Preferred Skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively, review code, and provide constructive technical feedback
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot

Pay Transparency

Poland: 12,000 – 17,600 PLN gross per month Italy: €35,800 – €39,700 per year

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience with continuous software delivery
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience working in Windows/Linux development environment, working with open source tools/platforms

  • Knowledge of software application testing tools, methodologies, and process framework
